The intention of this site is to share some special thoughts, as expressed in music or poetry, that reflect current concerns or feelings. Hopefully they will be as relevant to you, as they are to me. I have a long career in the music field, writing lyrics for some of the best Brazilian musicians, who live in Brazil and in a number other countries, including the U.S. A. Rather than present a long personal biography and discography --which you can access through the WEB site www.arnoldomedeiros.com or, also on line, through the Brazilian Dictionary Cravo Albim of Popular Music ("Dicionario Cravo Albim de Musica Popular Brasileira")-- this site in multiply.com will concentrate on current works and poetry, as I develop them, and in the underlying subjects they hope to present or portray. If, as an artist, through my small universe of concerns, I could reflect the broader spectrum of feelings and concerns of others, I will feel to have accomplished my goal. My intention is not to be exhaustive or encyclopedic and present a multitude of subjects, but to concentrate on very few aspects that are particular to a given moment, which I feel inclined and obliged to interprete through my art, either in words or in music.
